If the people of this country will live in peace and experience their full rights as Citizens of this Nation, then they will require a full understanding of their state. This will give them insight of what they are supposed to do at every instance of time. At the end of it all, they will enjoy harmony and peace.

Do you think that Kenyans were ready for devolved governance
Looking at the state of Kenyans at this particular episode of time, you will be amazed by the condition at which our country men live in. It is surprising that in many parts of Kenya, there are so many citizens who do not know the difference between Governor, MCA, Senator and Mp. If this is so, i wonder how the government expects the same people to know the responsibility of each leader. If research shows that more than 40% of the Kenyan population is illiterate, i wonder how they can understated the complications that are found in the new constitution. This will mean that, the leaders may think that they are leading people when in real sense they are leading nobody at all. How can these people follow you when you talk all English and they can hardly speak a good Swahili which is part of their language. This might result into a decade of planting and no harvesting at all.
I do believe that even the leaders that drew this new constitution, they either never understood the Nation they were living in or they did not care what it was meant for to the people in question. This gives out another very good picture of the kind of leaders that our country has. These are the leaders that will only meet with the citizens at the time of election and will never see them again until the next election. How can such leaders understand that there is a Kenyan citizen who is faced continuously everyday by the danger of sleeping hungry ?. That same leader will sit down and draw a constitution for this Kenyan which will divide to bring closer the power of the government which this Kenyan does no require. How can you tell me that this Kenyan requires this power when he has no food ? So at the end of the day, this leader will be drawing this for himself and his fellow rich men who have eaten enough and have time for power. The poor Kenyan does not differentiate between the leadership of Moses or Joshua.
Those who were closer to power at the time of the old constitution know that in those days. The people knew only the mp who was like the father to the whole constituency. He was in charge of roads, water, sanitation, cdf and everything else that was of government. Kenyans were used of him and they visited him when he came from 'Nairobi'. Amazingly, these men had solutions for all the citizens who succeed to see them personally, No matter what problem they came with. Thumbs up to the former Member of parliament of Laikipia East Honorable Mwangi Kiujuri. He was this kind of a leader who valued Education. No citizen of Laikipia visited him with the problem of education and went back home with it. With the current Laikipia Leadership, we are sorry.
With the new constitution, Kenyan people do not even know the right place to go for certain issues. Some of them just visits the closest leader without caring what he can do and what he can not do. As far as their problems reach the ears of a leader, that is all. If you question them on who can do what and who can not do what, that is not among the matters that disturb them. After all this effort, we can sadly say, until some of us in our late 20's become grandfathers, that is when the new constitution shall be fully understood in Kenya. So, Kibaki and his goverment in drafting and passing of the new constitution, they were about 50 years ahead of the time they were living.
